NORTHLIGHT GALLERY

THE DAYS NEVER SEEM THE SAME brings together the work of Gunnie Moberg (1941-2007) and Margaret Tait (1918-99). Moberg worked primarily with photography and Tait became an influential filmmaker, poet and writer. Both artists shared a strong connection to Orkney: the place, its people and its landscape. The exhibition presents a small selection of work from an exhibition held at Stills, Edinburgh (27 July – 28 October 2018).

As part of the exhibition, a film programme will display in the gallery’s window, 6–7pm on selected dates. LOOKING IN, LOOKING OUT is a selection of Tait’s silent films which study interiors and exteriors connected to her life and travels in Kirkwall, Edinburgh and Rome. The programme is curated by Marcus Jack and includes completed films alongside rarely seen unfinished work.
